The seller was in touch checking in to make sure the product arrived on time and was fully functioning. The product was easy to install, and my cats did not need any transitioning time. I used to use pellets, but I do not think pellets are supported with automatic litter boxes because the litter must clump. Since I had to switch to regular cat litter again, the kitties immediately started using the litter box, so maybe they just preferred traditional litter over pellets. The machine is quiet and does its job perfectly. I do not need to scoop at all! The size is similar to regular litter boxes in length, it is just taller and a bit wider. The app is user-friendly, and you can choose the automatic option or the manual version. I did test the machine while it was working by putting my hand inside and touching the basin, and the machine stopped working to prevent injury to whoever entered the litter box. So, it does seem safe to the kitties or to children if they decide to touch it during the cleaning procedure. DON'T HESITATE TO BUY IT. It is worth every penny. First of all I want to say how much I love this Robot, it’s perfect for us in so many ways…the first being our Cat is Larger than most, at 22 lbs. it’s difficult to find one that will accommodate her, second the Robot is nearly Silent, except for the dropping of waste intothe convenient drawer at bottom, it eliminates all of the litter from step and it has a comfortable padding at bottom of enclosure for your Cat.
It was the only Robot that I saw with a 5 Star rating, and now I know why. The only down side is I’m not as computer savvy as a young person, directions designed for someone who is, so I asked a young neighbor to setup for me. There are no video’s that show setup, that would be very helpful for people like myself who are technically challenged. But not a problem, most old people know someone who can help them.
